Gordon Kay

Gordon founded Infiniti and leads its strategy, commercial development and the partnerships through which its yachts and technology reach the market. His career has been built around identifying how ambitious yacht projects can create wider commercial value — from the original proposition and specialist team through to delivery and the finished product.
An accomplished offshore sailor with two circumnavigations and more than three decades of racing and managing yachts, he began working with naval architect Hugh Welbourn to develop and commercialise the Dynamic Stability System — at a time when lifting foils on monohulls sat outside mainstream thinking. Together they progressed DSS from experiment through tank testing to full-scale development, establishing Infiniti as the platform for the technology.
Under his leadership Infiniti developed the Infiniti 36, 46 and 52 and contributed DSS to numerous projects — most significantly the Baltic 142 Canova, named Sailing Yacht of the Year at the 2020 World Superyacht Awards. Gordon is also Vice President of Sales for the US & Americas at Baltic Yachts, and is today leading Infiniti's expansion into a broader family of foil-assisted platforms — powercats, trimarans and advanced monohulls.

Hugh Welbourn
Naval Architect
Hugh is a naval architect, yacht designer and the inventor of Dynamic Stability Systems (DSS), the retractable foil technology at the heart of Infiniti’s approach to lighter, faster and more stable yachts. His career spans development-class racing, offshore sailing and decades of yacht design and performance optimisation, including eight Admiral’s Cups and numerous world championships. His work with Quant Boats produced the Quant 23, the world’s first fully foiling production keelboat and European Yacht of the Year. At Infiniti, Hugh leads the naval architecture and technical development of the company’s sailing and power platforms, with DSS now proven across vessels ranging from the Quant 23 to the 43m Baltic 142 Canova.
Mark Saunders
Technical Director
Mark is a structural engineer specialising in advanced composite structures and the Technical Director of Infiniti. He coordinates engineering, detailed design and technical delivery, bringing naval architecture, structural engineering, systems, suppliers and shipyards together as one coherent and buildable whole. His career spans two decades in advanced composite engineering, including work with High Modulus, Gurit and Cookson Boats. At Infiniti, Mark provides the critical link between naval architecture and practical construction, managing the detailed engineering behind the company’s yacht and platform developments and ensuring innovative solutions maintain engineering integrity and buildability.
Dan Jackson
Senior Advisor — Project Development & Owner Representation
Dan advises Infiniti on project development, owner representation and the delivery and operation of complex yachts. His career spans naval engineering, yacht command, fleet management and some of the world’s most significant custom-yacht projects. He has overseen sailing yacht construction at Perini Navi and Alloy Yachts, managed and skippered the J Class Ranger, and represented owners on major custom projects including the 90m Oceanco DreAMBoat and its 111m successor, Y726. At Infiniti, Dan brings the perspective of both owner’s representative and operator, helping ensure that technical ambition remains connected to build quality, practical operation and the ownership experience.
Olia Terentieva
Director of Brand & Market Development
Olia shapes how Infiniti, its technology and its yachts are presented to clients and partners internationally. Her background spans yacht operations, services and refit, brokerage and charter, with experience across the Mediterranean and the wider international yachting market, complemented by experience in Dubai’s luxury market, business development and international client relations. She brings a practical understanding of the industry and the client to Infiniti’s engineering philosophy, translating complex technology into a clear proposition and communicating not simply what the technology does, but what it makes possible. Her role connects Infiniti’s technical capabilities with the people, markets and opportunities that can bring them to life.
